Before / AfterProperty Rented Out In Just 2 Weeks At RM 28,800/Year - But The Owner Was Uncontactable During The Handover! Macam Mane?

Cindy (not real name) is based in Teluk Intan, Perak, and she drove all the way down for our initial meeting in July. My first impression was that she is a very kind person, thoughtfully bringing along an extra face mask to stay protected from dust (the development was still under rectification).

We planned a strategy for her unit and got to work as soon as possible. Being a fan of our work and avid follower on social media, she was confident that my team & I would not let her down.

And indeed we didn't! Within 30 working days, her unit was ready to be handed over, and I arranged a convenient date & time for her to get her keys.

But there was just one issue that made me quite gan-cheong (worried)

I was ready and waiting at the unit but could not seem to contact her at all. I tried to call and message her several times but failed to get through.

I started to wonder - did we do something wrong? Have I failed her and made her cut us off? 

After 1 and a half hours, she finally showed up with her family! I was so relieved - turns out that they were stuck in an elevator the whole time.

There was a leakage problem on Level 15 causing a flood at the lift area, which put 3 lifts out of service (I happened to use the 4th lift).

Being the selfless person that she was, instead of complaining or taking out her frustration of being trapped, she felt so sorry that they had kept me waiting for such a long time.

I was really touched and immediately calmed down (because I had thought the worst). All in all it was the most dramatic handover that I have ever encountered.

Best part is - she loved our work! There were a few defects that needed correcting but we took care of that quickly and managed to get the unit rented out within 2 weeks!

I was so proud of the team effort that went into delivering a great makeover to a kind and selfless client. I just want to thank Cindy again because it was a real pleasure working with her, and she taught me a valuable lesson - even when things look chaotic, keep calm and carry on.
